The Veneto - Treviso

Today, with no particular plan in mind, we head to Treviso. It's a city sliced by several small rivers that all, generally, come together and make a bigger river. Everything in the city center has a nice aged feel, but clean and healthy. The waterways are overhung with green things, flowering things, ducks, and swans. It's compact and cute, and it makes a fine day trip.

It is one of the more comfortable days we've had; the temperature, the scale of the city, the guidance of the towers make the walking delightful. Then it rains - just for a few minutes as we make out way back to the station. Never a clean get away.

Still running the menu at the Ristorante Perbacco at the Antico Mulino - tonight we have a garden salad, and linguine with scampi and tomatoes with a touch of chili peppers, and ice cream and cookies. Not extravagant tonight, but very happy with our meals.
