The end of our third week in Lisbon, and we are finally moved into our apartment. We're in
Campo Grande, in
Alvalade, not Telheiras – that deal just fell apart (
you can read about the start of our apartment-hunt here). We're a little disappointed, mostly because the deal fell apart: it's a little more per month, and the Telheiras apartment had amazing views and great furnishings. But our new apartment is super comfy and it has more amenities: indoor pool, sauna, gym. The location is actually way better: less than a fifteen minute walk to our classes or the metro (Alvalade, Entre Campos, or Cidade Universitária). There are lots of shops, cafes, and markets nearby.
So we have a T2 (two-bedroom), two bath, living-dining, kitchen, laundry, with storage locker and parking; TV and internet are included. The airplanes that had me worried are not an issue now we're inside, though it's obviously not as quiet as our house in Berkeley. There's a sunny view of the
Jardim do Campo Grande from all rooms.
These images are all from the owner's listing.
Certainly it's a very big relief to have the apartment hunt behind us now. Two things truly saved us and made the experience work out well: the flexibility of the
Corinthia Hotel Lisbon, and our friend
Marta and her team at
KW Portugal. Tudo bem.
